We are also noticing so many amazing changes at home. He is always adding to his vocabulary and, recently, Daddy taught him a joke. He is still working on his delivery, but cracks us (and himself!) up.
He also held a baby! Dax's friend Anora has a new baby brother. We met him at a playdate on Monday and Dax was very interested. When Rosalie asked if he would like to hold Baby Nolan, Dax was eager. He was so gentle and, when Nolan cried, Dax quietly reassured him with, "It's okay Nolan." It was very sweet and so grown up!
His play is constantly changing. Some of his favorites lately are imaginative play with his construction vehicles, and any of his new jigsaw puzzles.
And, probably the biggest change of all, he got a new bed at daycare! Since he started as a little guy, he has napped in his own room in a pack and play. This week he transitioned to napping on a mat instead. He has been sleeping so well! On the subject of sleep, he has also stopped using his nukie. It started at daycare when they could not find it before nap one day and he went right to sleep anyway. Then we tried skipping it for nap at home. He did great! So we also took it away at bedtime. After asking for it once or twice the first couple of nights, he immediately fell asleep and hasn't looked back. We're still only a few days in, but we're crossing our fingers that this transition has really gone as well as it seems!
Stay tuned for a birthday update!

| And last, our big boy goofing around with his buddy Isaac. Is it just me or do these boys look like teens lounging with their cell phone? |
