Spring

We have been blessed with an unusually warm spring and we took full advantage. Take a peek at some of our fun...

LOTS of playground time! We even discovered a new playground hidden only a few blocks from our house!

Testing out a new ride at Grandma and Grandpa Olson's house.

A trip to the zoo with Logan and Harper.

Dax played soccer and t-ball.

Dax and Jake went to the Okee Dokee Brothers' album release concert.

Another zoo trip with Auntie Anna and her friend, Jenny.

Grilling and an epic water balloon fight while Great Dee and Great Jim were in town (we somehow missed taking pictures with them while they were here - oops!).

And just enjoying our own yard.

Happy May!

May is a big month in our house with my birthday and Mother's Day within a week of each other.

This year, the weather was gorgeous on my birthday so we celebrated with a low-key dinner at Centennial Lakes and then walked around the lake. It was perfect.

For Mother's Day we enjoyed a delicious brunch at my cousin's house with some extended family. The kids had so much fun running around and it is always great to catch up with people we don't see nearly enough!

A couple of days later, Dax invited me to join him at school for Muffins with Mom. It's always delightful to spend time with my sweet kids and it was especially fun to see him at preschool.

I am one lucky Mama to spend my time with those two!

Live Theater

We are hoping to raise cultured kids - recently we've seen Marvel Universe Live, Wild Kratts Live, and I Love You, Stinky Face. Okay, maybe not cultured, but at least entertained, ha! Seriously, though, we have been enjoying some live shows and it is pure joy to experience these fun events with our special kiddos.

Dax and I joined some of our neighbors for Marvel Universe Live at the Target Center a few weeks ago. It was filled with super heroes, villains, mystery, motorcycles, tricks, and excitement. Dax and Logan both loved every second and us moms enjoyed it, too!

Then, we couldn't resist getting tickets to see the Kratt Brothers when we heard they'd be in town. The show was filled with awesome creature powers and wouldn't have been complete without Chris and Martin going on a creature adventure to stop the super villain, Zach Varmitech. It was a really fun show and we even got a preview of some new creature suits from upcoming cartoons. We left with lovely memories and a creature power suit, of course!

What if?!
Then, our whole family went to Stages Theatre for I Love You, Stinky Face thanks to an early birthday present from my parents. The book is adorable and the play was even sweeter. Dax was super into it the whole time and Adelaide loved the singing and dancing scenes, but got a bit restless when there was more dialogue. They both left smiling, though, and it was a fun family afternoon!
