Happy Halloween!

Is there anything better than a baby's first Halloween? Probably, but this was admittedly one of the most fun Halloweens we have enjoyed because Dax was a part of it.

Our festivities started on Saturday with carving pumpkins. Jake and I skipped this tradition last year and were excited to participate again. We were also looking forward to having Dax around to share in the fun and thought he'd like to play with the pumpkin goo. We were wrong. He touched it a few times, but mostly complained and looked disgusted. We had fun, though, and were happy with how our jack-o-lanterns turned out.

On Sunday we were invited to a Halloween party at our friends Joe and Rosalie's house. It was a great opportunity to let Dax wear his costume and, while we aren't big costume people, joined the fun as well. We also got to see some of our friends from the Mom and Baby class Dax and I participated in shortly after he was born. It was so much fun!

The Halloween festivities came to a close today when we brought our little Trick or Treater to visit all of his grandparents. After daycare we stopped by Grandpa Phil and Grandma Caren's.

Finally, we swung by Grandpa Mick and Grandma Mary's. We were surprised to get to see Dax's Great-Grandparents Marlys, Harry and Blossom, and Great-Uncle Billy there as well!
