Thespian

Dax completed a week of theater camp this summer! When we originally found the description, Dax was over the moon excited about the possibility and immediately started acting out a Tangled Rapunzel story - the theme for the week. As it got closer he was pretty nervous about it, but ended up having a great time.

They spent the last few minutes of each class with a circle chatting about what they had learned that day. I snuck back early one day to snap a photo of the sweetness.

While Dax acted, Adelaide and I ran some errands and spent lots of time on the playground.

Helping carry in some groceries!
The culmination of all the preschoolers' hard work was a performance on the final day. It was incredible! (Please forgive the horrible videos - I was watching the play and ignoring the recording and that didn't work the best, ha!)

We are so proud of Dax!

More Summer Fun

We are loving every minute of this gorgeous summer!

We visited the Crayola Experience again! There's so much to do that we still haven't tried everything!

I enjoyed chatting with some good friends, Nicole and Jodi, while the kids played together. It's so fun to see them actually interacting as they get older!

Dax and Adelaide enjoyed helping Orion celebrate his birthday.

We spent some time at the zoo with friends we hadn't seen in WAY too long - Isaac and his sweet mom, Sarah.

We painted our family room - Dax wanted to help paint and Addy even got in on the experience (she didn't get real paint, though!).

And we had so much fun at our last Musikgarten class of the summer and can't wait for it to start again this fall.

VBS

Dax and I just finished a fun week of Vacation Bible School! This year's theme was Bible Blast to the Past and we spent our evenings learning about God's incredible, faithful, invincible, unconditional and real love. The preschoolers were so sweet and it was a wonderful week!

It culminated with a VBS church service with some skits and songs. We are always so proud to see Dax coming out of his shell and that was no different. He did SO well performing in front of the congregation! Afterwards, there was a family picnic and the kids got to throw water balloons at each other. So fun!

Summer continued

After a delightful start, we have continued our summer fun...

We went to the Arboretum to see the beautiful wood insect sculptures.

We saw Bruce the Bug Guy at the library.

Jake and I celebrated our anniversary with dinner and a Guster concert at the zoo. It was an awesome concert!

We've had fun watching the progress on a house being built down the street.

All of us visited the new baby zebra at the Como zoo.

Dax, Addy and I had fun playing with some of my teacher friends and their kids.

Then we continued the celebrating on our actual anniversary with the kiddos at the Wings evening at the zoo.

And went back again for a play date with Dax's preschool friend Jayla and her sister.

We also had a library play date with Patrick and Abigail.

We tapped into our creativity and checked out the Crayola Experience.

And then brought Daddy back to show him how much fun it is!

We checked out the Little Mates time at Cascade Bay to beat the heat.

And, as always, we have been doing lots of playing at home!
