Merry Christmas!

Yikes! It's been awhile since I have posted and it's after Christmas before I'm posting about the holidays. This is clearly a sign we have had a wonderful, special, busy, perfect first Christmas with our little boy. Of course we had family time, friend time, gifts, delicious food, and lots of joy and laughter, but the highlight for me this year was sharing more about Jesus with Dax. We put up our nativity set shortly after Thanksgiving and started talking about "Baby Jesus" when Dax would show interest. He loved to carry the statue around and quickly transitioned from eating Jesus (is this an early version of Communion??) to kissing Jesus. It was very sweet.

We also have a few board books about the meaning of Christmas that provide an easy way to share the story of Jesus' birth with a little guy. Dax obviously doesn't understand yet, but it is really special to have time and opportunities to share God's love with him. We also spent lots of time with the ones we love!

Take a peek at our Christmas thus far (The Schulz family will celebrate next weekend!):
