We had some much needed couple time last week! Dax and Addy had a fun night with Grandpa Phil and Grandma Caren (Dax and Grandpa were busy building a fort under the table when we left!), while Jake and I had a yummy dinner and went to the Guster concert. It was our 5th time seeing Guster together and was another amazing show.

The opener was Kishi Bashi. He has a song that was number 1 last June in Japan and, though we hadn't heard of him, we had fun listening to his set. He is an incredibly talented violinist, vocalist, & beat boxer who uses pedals to loop and layer sounds to build his songs. He had moments of really enjoyable music and moments of pretty random sounds. I commented to Jake that I think he could be a pretty amazing artist if he could focus. He was definitely entertaining, though.
As always, Guster was incredible. They played my favorite song, which has been left out in previous shows and had a great balance of music from old records as well as their new one. We've never been bigger fans and it was the perfect way to spend our rare time together sans kiddos.
