Another month has passed and our "baby" is 10 months old now! It has been an especially enjoyable month because Dax has started to learn and grow in some really fun ways socially in addition to his physical development.
He has learned how to sit up from laying down and pulls himself up on everything, including the stairs! He is starting to figure out how to sit back down carefully, but typically lets go of whatever he is holding on to and does a trust fall straight back. Good thing we pay close attention to him!

| Uh oh. We're in trouble with this curious little mover. |
In addition to his physical development, he is also growing like a little weed. This month we had to get a new car seat for him. He's nowhere near the 30 pound weight limit, but was getting close to growing out of it in height and definitely filled it out with his winter coat. Now he is much more comfortable! Take a peek at one of his first and his last (does it count when he was in it just for a picture for Mama?) time in the infant car seat.

| Comfortable in his new ride! |
He also continues to enjoy bath time. We get him ready in his bedroom and he LOVES to run naked down the hallway to the bathroom. He is then thrilled to play with his bath toys and could empty the tub with his splashing. It is pure joy to see his excitement.
Socially, he is so much more interactive and responsive. He has been waving goodbye for awhile and imitating sounds we make, but will now do both very consistently. It is fun to hear him talk with many more word-like sounds as well as other vocal noises. One of his funniest developments is playing with telephones - his toys or our cell phones. He will giggle anytime we pretend someone is on the phone and will put it up to his ear. Sometimes he even says, "hi". While he usually misses and holds the phone behind his ear, it is still very cute.

| "Hello?" |
 |
| "Who's there?" |
 |
| "I'm so glad you called!" |
 |
| "It's for you." |
And finally, the best new development of all. He is on the go most of the time, but will occasionally stop to snuggle us and has started kissing! He makes a funny face and leans in for a smooch from Mommy, Daddy, or even his animals. It is so sweet!
Every day we are amazed by Dax. It is such a thrill to literally watch him grow and learn right before our eyes and each new development makes him less baby, but that now seems okay because he is also getting more and more fun and interactive. We love you sweet boy!
